Colour
Plum red with vibrant hues.
Nose
Smoked meats, walnuts, slight blackberry and a hint of vanilla. Complex and alluring.
Palate
Filled with flavour, liquorice, star anise and dark chocolate. A true representation of the sub region of Marananga with firm but balanced tannin, full bodied with exceptional length of flavour.
Vintage Conditions
Good winter rains gave us a great start to the season and the subsequent weather was unusually cool until the end of the year. We were pleased to get some hot weather in January and dry conditions until our Shiraz was harvested on the 4th of March. It was a great season and the wine is a testament to the wonderful year.
